Foundation Block Piers

The cabin "pad" consists of 8-10 inches of class 5 we had hauled in by a local contractor.
The next step was layout of 12 block piers starting of a 16 x 16 x 2 cement block, a 12 x 16 x 8 cinder block and finally a 4 x 16 x 8 solid block.

The next step once the block was level and squared up was to put down 6x6 timbers running the 24 foot length of the cabin.

We layed out 3 runs of timbers one on the center and one down each side.

once the timbers were set a 2x8 GT frame was put together and squared the size was set up to recieve a second rim joist on each face.

The next step was to layout the floor joist 2x8 GT 16 inches on center.

we ran short of block as you can see, we will add a set of piers nex trip up.

The above was completed in two days by my friend Scott and I.
Thanks for all your hard work Scott.
Also A special thanks to both of our wives for letting us play in the woods building our dream cabins.
